The Delaware Valley Healthcare Council, in collaboration with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health and the College of Physicians of Philadelphia - Section on Public Health and Preventive Medicine, held a free, public forum - Hospital Perspectives on Access and Coverage on November 18, 2004 at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, 19 South 22nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103. The meeting was part of a series of public meetings designed to guide the development of a Philadelphia plan for universal health care, as mandated by Philadelphia voters in November 2003. Speakers included:

- Andrew Wigglesworth, President Delaware Valley Healthcare Council
- Albert P. Black, Jr., Chief Operating Officer, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
- Douglas McGee, DO, President Elect Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians and Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director, Albert Einstein Medical Center
- Michael T. Mennuti, MD, Professor & Chairman, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Pennsylvania Health System
- Christine Arenson, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of Community Health, Department of Family Medicine, Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson Family Medicine
