Proposed Philadelphia Water Rate Increase
Last Updated: 8/14/2008

As part of a coalition of large water customers, Delaware Valley Healthcare Council of HAP participated in public hearings on proposed Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) rate increases. The increases are projected to yield $317 million in additional revenue over the next four years (fiscal years 2009 through 2012). The Water Commissioner is scheduled to approve new water and sewer rates on November 1, 2008 and new stormwater rates later this year.
