Please join us for the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Delaware Valley Healthcare Council of HAP.  This year’s meeting features a keynote address by Raja Rajamannar, senior vice president and chief innovation and marketing officer for Humana, who will discuss how one of the nation's largest health insurers plans to better serve consumers and thrive in this era of health reform. Mr Rajamannar will also share some of the innovative ways Humana envisions working with hospitals and other health care providers to improve its customers' health and health care.

Keynote Speaker:

Raja Rajamannar

Venkata Rajamannar Madabhushi, “Raja Rajamannar,” was named senior vice president and chief innovation and marketing officer at Humana in April 2009 with responsibility for leading the company’s Innovation Center, as well as its international businesses, marketing, corporate communications, and government relations organizations. He is one of six direct reports to the president and chief executive officer and a member of the Corporate Executive Committee, which sets strategic direction for the company.

Prior to joining Humana, Mr. Rajamannar had 24 years of global business management experience, including 15 years with Citigroup, the New York-based banking conglomerate. Mr. Rajamannar most recently served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer of the Global Cards division of Citigroup. As executive vice president of Citigroup’s Credit Cards Business from 2006 to 2008, he managed the bank’s value, cash and rewards businesses, as well as the automotive and telecommunications sectors. He also headed the new product development and new payment technologies groups. From 2003 to 2005 he was chairman and chief executive officer of Diners Club North America.

A native of India, Raja holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore. He earned a bachelor of technology degree in chemical engineering from Osmania University in Hyderabad.

Award Presentations:

Legislative and hospital leaders will be recognized for leadership, advocacy, patient safety, efforts to increase organ donation, and excellence in environmental stewardship.
